reduce greenhouse gases and create new industries.
Carbon upcycling is an innovative technology that utilizes carbon resources included in greenhouse gases, by-product gases, and organic waste to produce chemical products and clean fuels.
Since Korea has high greenhouse gas emissions but lacks fossil fuels such as petroleum, gas, and coal, waste carbon must be converted into high value-added products in order to enhance national competitiveness.
The Next Generation Carbon Upcycling Project Group develops novel technology for large-scale carbon upcycling, thereby contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gases and the creation of future growth engines under the new climate regime.
